Creative Sydney 2010

Get involved with Creative Sydney for some ideas and inspiration on how to be a successful creative type in 21st century Sydney. Running from June 5 to 13, the festival has speakers, networking nights and partays to get even the most reluctant among us 'out there'.

The MCA lives on

Thanks to a hefty $15 million private donation, the long planned renovations to Sydney's MCA will finally go ahead. Beginning this June, the new wing will increase the size of the gallery by two thirds and include the National Centre for Creative Learning and new gallery space. Good news after too many rumors about the gallery having to close is doors!

Love of Lego

A (sneaky) photo taken at the MCA's Olafur Eliasson exhibition that finished up last week. Visitors were encouraged to play and construct with the all white lego pieces, and there were some masterpieces. Below is the only photo I was allowed to take before being scolded by MCA staff. Which are much more intimidating than any thug security guard.

Pseudo camping

Some photos from my camping trip to Cockatoo Island. A few pics are pretty grainy, courtesy of some bad weather and crappy iphone camera. Our tent looked onto Woolwich and around the corner we had a uninterrupted view of the Harbour Bridge, where we decided to set up our wine and cheese spread.
